Avery's Service Program
During the whole school year the second graders work on different service projects. They went to The Assisted Living Center and sang to the residents, made quilts for DCFS, raked leaves for the school and made school kits to sent to Haiti, to name a few. During the program they sang cute songs and showed a slide show of the kids working on the projects.

I can't believe Avery is 8! It just doesn't seem like that much time could have past by since she was born. I love the service idea for school. Smart. And it looks like you had a good mother's day. Hope you did anyway. Did your mom tell you we had a chat the other day?
